The awards were not the only things shining at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards show. American singer and songwriter Katy Perry was the host of the highly anticipated show and stole the night with her seven edgy outfits.
It was definitely a great night for the singer who hosted, performed her new song Swish Swish with Nicki Minaj and was nominated for five awards.
Her arrival look was immaculate, she strutted on the blue carpet wearing a gorgeously detailed Stéphane Rolland Couture Dress; one-half of the dress was sleek and easy with a shoulder cape. If you thought she was over with sequined dresses for the night, you were wrong. Her next shimmery blue dress look featured a baby in a carrier. Not just an outfit, it was a costume for a pre-rehearsed monologue. It appears the look was inspired by the series A Handmaid’s Tale.
