Rihanna’s billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel was reportedly married before hooking up with the Umbrella hitmaker.
The 29-year-old was first spotted with her new love, whose family have dealership rights to Toyota cars, earlier this year as they got hot-and-heavy in a pool in Spain yet they have remained low-key about their love.
After months of romance, The Sun report the handsome businessman was married before meeting the star as sources revealed he tied the knot with art expert Lina Lazaar at Paris Opera House in 2012 – yet both parties have now happily moved on.
Rihanna, who dated longtime pal Drake briefly in 2016, has kept her romance with Hassan quiet yet the beaming duo were seen on a grocery run in Ibiza in June – both looking at ease and happy together.
Hassan is the deputy president and vice chairman of family business Abdul Latif Jameel – one of the biggest companies in the world. Rihanna is not the first of his famed romances as he was previously linked to Naomi Campbell.
While his famous romances have hit headlines, his marriage has been previously undiscovered as he was once married to Lina, who used the double-barrelled name Lina Lazaar Jameel in a 2012 interview with Bespoke Magazine.
Sources tell The Sun: ‘Hassan is an intensely private individual. His marriage was over before he met Rihanna, after getting a divorce from Lina, but it will still come as a shock to her millions of fans. Lina has also moved on with a new partner.’
Lina is an esteemed member of the art community through her role as a specialist at Sotheby’s for the past 11 years, while she was previously mentioned in the Top 10 Most Influential Women in Middle Eastern Art.
News of his marriage comes after it was claimed the Love on the Brain hitmaker reportedly told pals that Hassan could be the one.
A source told The Sun : ‘This relationship is the real deal. Rihanna has told friends she’s in love with him and seems completely smitten.
‘They’ve been spending a lot of time together away from prying eyes and are really serious. They’re really enjoying each others’ company.’
